On the occasion of Fatemieh Mourning (martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (SA)), Women Affairs Office of Tehran Municipality is to hold the great contest of “Women in view of Quran” highlighting women’s chastity and Afaf (virtue).
Ashraf Rahimi, cultural deputy of Women Affairs Office of Tehran Municipality told IQNA that 17-27 year-old women in Tehran can participate in the competition.
“The contest seeks to stress and propagate Islamic values, portray the role and duties of Muslim women in family and society, and emphasize the lofty status of women in view of the Quran highlighting their Afaf and chastity.”
She said participants would take a test containing 32 multiple-choice questions adding that the Quran exegesis by Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Ali Ansari is presented to the participants to help them answer the questions.
The Quran exegesis is presented in a CD. It contains 8 chapters entitled “Creation of Women in View of Quran”, “Women in Pre-Islamic Era”, “Women’s Greatness in View of Quran”, “Women’s Special Roles in Life”, “Women’s Religious and Legal Status”, “Positive and Negative Role Models for Women in View of Quran”, “Women’s Look in the Hereafter”, and “The Most Perfect Role Model for Women in View of Quran”.
“Those willing to participate in this contest should hand in their answer sheets to their district municipality by June 21,” she stated.
Winners will be announced by the information dissemination center of Tehran Municipality on July 6.
